Deadline released some box office projections for Black Adam in its second weekend. As previously reported, the film opened with a strong $67 million opening weekend at the domestic box office and $140 million worldwide. It was also star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s biggest opening weekend ever for a film featuring him as the leading man.
According to Deadline’s update, a steep 63% dropoff is predicted for the film’s second weekend. It’s currently projected for about $25 million this weekend, which would bring its box office total to about $108 million. While the dropoff is fairly steep, it will at least cross $100 million this weekend. The film brought in $7.5 million for its second Friday, bringing its current total as of today to about $90.9 million.
Per Box Office Mojo, the film has also made $166 million worldwide. Box office estimates will be released later tomorrow.
Black Adam is now playing in theaters. The film stars The Rock, Aldis Hodge, Pierce Brosnan, Sarah Shahi, Noah Centineo, and Quintessa Swindell.
