The RHOP cast is divided about Mia Thornton and Wendy Osefo’s altercation.
“Real Housewives of Potomac” fans have a lot to say about the current season due to Mia Thornton and Wendy Osefo‘s altercation. While the cast was in Miami, Wendy and Mia clashed over a business deal that didn’t work out between Wendy and Peter Thomas. Wendy said she wanted to collaborate on opening up a Nigerian lounge. However, Peter accused Wendy of not being serious. And holding up the deal. So he thought it was shady that she came to Miami and didn’t hit him up. While the cast was eating dinner at Peter’s Bar One, Mia told Wendy she should have checked in with Peter since she knew she was coming to Miami.
Well, this led to an argument. And before the evening was over, Mia threw her drink and purse at Wendy.
Another part of the altercation that has people talking is the rest of the cast’s reaction to what happened that night. Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon didn’t have much sympathy for Wendy. They accused her of antagonizing Mia. Karen Huger said Mia and Wendy were both wrong that night. Meanwhile, Ashley Darby and Candiace Dillard Bassett both feel like it was Mia who took things too far.
Carlos King was disturbed by Robyn Dixon’s actions.
Well, Wendy’s mother and RHOP fans aren’t the only ones with strong opinions about all of the drama.
“Love & Marriage: Huntsville” Executive Producer Carlos King had things to get off his chest on his podcast with guest and YouTuber DJ Richie Skye.
Carlos said it was so triggering to watch because no one had Wendy’s back. But he was really disturbed that Robyn took out her phone to record all the chaos.
“I have never in my life or career have been around a group of people, in this case, the cast is full of women, where someone knucks and no one bucks up to diffuse the situation. I was disturbed by Robyn taking her iPhone and recording a video of it.”
He continued, “That’s not natural human behavior.”
Is RHOP Gizelle Bryant’s show?
Carlos said that in most situations, people will attempt to de-escalate a situation like that because they care about those involved. And it was disappointing that no one on the cast tried to diffuse the drama. He thinks Gizelle should have calmed everyone down.
“I don’t care if you guys are mad at me or not, I like to keep it all the way real. Gizelle Bryant is the force multiplier, the queen bee, the face of Real Housewives of Potomac. It’s to the point now that she may be one of the faces of Bravo. ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’ is Gizelle Bryant’s show. Love her or hate her, it’s her show.”
He added, “And when you are the force multiplier of the show, that means you control the energy in the room. And I was disappointed that Gizelle Kobe Bryant as the queen bee of the show did not say, ‘Okay this is getting too far.’ And try to diffuse it. That just left me disappointed because I felt like those ladies chose a good scene versus trying to be a good person.”
Karen Huger was not spared by Carlos King.
Carlos also thinks Gizelle should have kept the same energy from Season 5.
“I wanted Gizelle Bryant at minimum to get up and say, ‘Alright guys, enough is enough. It’s gone too far, this is not what we do,’ because you cannot sit up here on your podium Season 5 and call Monique (Samuels) everything but a child of God for what she did. And what Monique did was wrong. And Monique admitted Candiace did not deserve that. That came out of Monique’s own mouth. So I’m not saying anything she didn’t say. She said that.”
He’s not feeling the current season, “I love Potomac. But I gotta be honest. This season isn’t hitting as past seasons have been because I feel like all of the women are having unlikable moments. And I just don’t think these women wanna be around each other.”
Carlos continued, “I think this cast is more interested in trying to make a moment versus being in the moment. And it’s not coming across real.”
He also had some words for Karen.
“Dr. Wendy has so much to lose. Somebody should have said…listen, I’m not just gonna say Gizelle and Robyn. I already said my opinions about them. I’ma get Karen. Karen, at least from what we saw last season, it appears you like Dr. Wendy. You didn’t do anything either. You got up. ‘Oh my gosh. Did this really happen? Did water get on me?’ It was so fake.”
