The Chicago Blackhawks have a big game tonight. The same way last season started off with the best of the best against the Tampa Bay Lightning, tonight the Hawks open their season against the Colorado Avalanche.

The Avalanche are the supposed best team in the central going into the season, and this divisional matchup has a lot on the line for the Hawks who will be looking to get a big upset win on night one.

The Blackhawks will also be facing a Colorado team that will be without their best player in Nathan MacKinnon who is out with Covid-19. Chicago has a number of games on the road to start the year. First in Colorado then out to New Jersey and then playing in Pittsburgh before coming back home to Chicago for a game on Tuesday. Starting the year off right is important.
