Monday Night Football Best Bets: Saints – Buccaneers
NFC South rivals meet to wrap up Week 13 with the New Orleans Saints on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tom Brady’s team can’t seem to get it going, and the last-place Saints are only 1.5 games back of the Bucs in the standings. This is a huge game for both teams.
Our own Michael Lombardi isn’t a believer in the Buccaneers. What about our other VSiN analysts? Here are their best bets for the game.
Odds are from DraftKings (unless noted) as of Sunday night.

Dave Tuley: I gave this out at Saints +6 last Sunday night on my weekly appearance on The Greg Peterson Experience and in my Monday column at VSiN.com, but I would still bet it at anything over a field goal.
The reasoning stays the same as Dennis Allen’s New Orleans defense is kryptonite to Tom Brady’s Superman. After going 0-4 against the Saints his first two years in Tampa (with 6 TDs and 8 INTs, including 2 pick-6s), Brady finally beat them 20-10 in this year’s first meeting in Week 2. But the defense still fared well, just like it did last Sunday in a 13-0 loss at the 49ers with another pocket QB in Jimmy Garoppolo.
The Saints were embarrassed by being shut out by the 49ers—especially as they squandered so many chances, including two goal-to-go opportunities on their last two drives in the fourth quarter. We expect the Saints’ defense to keep them close and for the offense to bounce back.
Pick: Saints +3.5
Adam Burke: Jarvis Landry has not been an effective part of the Saints’ offense. He’s also only played 56% of the snaps the last two weeks after playing 79% in his Week 10 injury return. Landry has had eight catches on 14 targets in the last three games and mustered just 90 receiving yards. He’s more of a possession guy that runs a lot of underneath routes and doesn’t really get fed too many chances at explosive plays.
Landry’ receiving yards prop this week is 38.5, a number he has only reached once this season. That came in Week 1 against the Falcons when he had seven catches on nine targets. He’s only had 16 catches in six games since. The Buccaneers came into Week 13 ranked fifth in yards after catch allowed and sixth in yards per reception overall. Since Landry doesn’t run a lot of deep routes, it seems highly unlikely that he’ll be able to shake free for some big gainers.
Pick: Jarvis Landry UNDER 38.5 Receiving Yards (-120)
